Why Join Us?

MORE BRAINS 🧠 ARE BETTER THAN ONE ☝

Especially when it comes to “Psychology” - learning how money occurs for others, their inspiring, empowering as well as limiting beliefs around money improves our own perspective and critical thinking and encourages reflection. In turn challenges your own opinion because of your subjection to other people’s thoughts and judgments; and collectively we grow.

IF YOU WANT TO GO FAST, GO ALONE,

If you want to go far, go together” - is an African Proverb we use on our Mountain & Adventure retreats - but that too is true when it comes to book reading - as a group meeting each week, the social connection and sense of community, not just seen as something done in isolation allows for us to connect weekly, enhance our mental & emotional wellbeing, and also share and learn from insightful, bold and sometimes vulnerable shares and experiences.

ACCOUNTABILITY WITH TEAMWORK

As a group, answerable to a team or like minded and growth minded individuals opens us up to develop and practice our leadership & communication skills in online settings and also an opportunity for us to share our ideas and imagination as a reader and leader 🫡

A Facilitated Book Club is a guided reading experience where participants explore books together, led by our trained and experienced coaches who encourage deeper discussion and personal reflection. Our facilitators/coaches are trained in effectively managing introspection, reflection, time management of each session and takeaways that leave participants with something experiential to discover via assignments.

Each week, we read and discuss selected sections of the book. Our facilitators guide reflections and group discussions, fostering shared learning and insights.

We meet every Monday at 12:00 pm UK time live on Zoom. Our first book is “The Psychology of Money” by Morgan Housel. You will be provided the zoom link once subscribed, and please note – all sessions will be recorded and the recording will be shared with subscribed participants. In addition, an optional (& recommended) WhatsApp group will be created by one of the facilitators or members to allow for open discussions during the week on any learnings, insights and queries. Please note, for data privacy purposes – while sessions will be recorded, and links will be shared on the group chat – we request sharing responsibly and respectfully and we do request participants not to share any links, recordings or discussions outside the group. Further, we do need to let you know before joining that The Coaching Body Limited, FITBANKER Limited, its associates, members, officers, contractors and representatives will make best effort to use your data and any recordings for purposes of this book club – and we cannot ensure that other third party attendees and participants will adhere to the same and our privacy policy. Accordingly, we request that you share any confidential and personal information responsibly and respect others’ shares too.

No, we’ll discuss manageable sections each week, so no rush!

We provide summaries or key points for sessions you miss, so you can stay on track.

Yes there is a lot to gain even if you haven’t joined from the beginning

No, you get to read with us each week and we’ll discuss manageable sections each week, so no rush!
We will recommend you read the next section beforehand for the next meeting and then re-read again with the group to get the most out of the discussions, however it is not necessary.

It will depend on the groups pace and what comes up for discussion. The intention is around 3 months for this book.
